Using Type to Develop Leaders of Every Type

Presenter: Sharon L. Richmond, M.B.A.

About The Program

Strong leaders provide direction to their teams, peers, and organizations. But who provides guidance to strong leaders?

To say leadership is more challenging than ever before is an understatement. Organizations today face two major leadership issues: an anticipated shortage of leaders and the increasing challenges of leadership in a global environment.

Additionally, leadership increasingly requires the ability to influence others outside of traditional hierarchical structures. You may already be experiencing significant changes in what’s expected of you as a leader.

Sharon will introduce us to a simple leadership model and talk about some type specific opportunities and challenges. In addition, if time permits, she will introduce us to her unique Leadership Map that enables leaders, trainers and coaches of each personality type to chart a course to improving their effectiveness.

About The Presenter

Sharon uses her expertise in leadership, organizational development, and Type in her roles as a Leadership Coach at Stanford University ’s Graduate School of Business and as an independent consultant. Sharon has been very active in leadership roles within the Type community for years. A past Chair of the Western Region of APT International, Sharon continues to serve as a member of the APTi Board of Directors.
