After completing the March issue of the Trendwatch report, I could not help but notice the countless facts, statistics, and articles on employee engagement. Think about it - how often do people look for a new job because they are not motivated by the leadership, because their ideas aren’t being listened to, or simply because their boss is awol and doesn’t provide direction? Imagine how many organizations could have higher productivity and customer satisfaction if managers were equipped with the training and skills required to be good managers!

Since I work so closely with the Education Market, I was naturally curious to generate the different reports that are available for students in helping them with the career development process. The MBTI® Career Report Form M is one of those. I’d like to introduce myself as one of the newest bloggers to the ICON Success site! My name is Karen Gonzalez and I began working for CPP in November of 2007 as the Marketing Coordinator. I have been dedicated to serving the needs of our customers who work in the fields of Education and Career Counseling, and I am also the editor of our quarterly CPP Career Insider. When I accepted the position at CPP, I had just graduated from college a few months before (May 2007) and I was very excited to share my experiences as a recent student with my coworkers. I am now excited to begin blogging once a week, as I am new to blogging as well!

It’s been a week since our anniversary party and relaunch, and I think we finally got most of the tech issues we were having with the new interface sorted out. Since last week, several of our new members have emailed me to ask about the origins of the ICON Success website and community, so I thought I would share a little bit of our background and catch our new members up to speed.

This week marks the 1-year anniversary of ICON Success! It’s been a great year, and I can’t stop smiling when I think about how far the site has come, and how much the community has developed with all the contributions from CPP ICONS. To commemorate this special moment, we’ve given the site a whole new face (you may have noticed.) But this is not only a physical make-over, we are also adding new features and opportunities to serve you better.
