Dan Lumpkin, CMC - May’s ICON of the Month

Congratulations Dan!

Dan Lumpkin began his journey into consulting after graduating with a degree in Psychology and Social Work from The University of Tennessee. He started out as a therapist after a few years of study in Counseling Techniques, but soon found he was more interested in applying what he had learned about behavior in the business world. 26 years later, Dan Lumpkin is still working with organizations and individuals to help them achieve their personal and corporate objectives.

Dan’s areas of expertise include: Management Consulting, Assessment, Leadership Development, Executive Coaching, Climate Assessment, Performance Evaluation, and Strategic Direction. With his many years of experience, he had a lot of great suggestions for other consultants out there.

Dan’s words of wisdom include:

“Never accept an assignment unless you can improve the client’s condition.”

“You don’t train your way out of a problem you manage yourself into.”

” Leadership is an earned right. Our business is helping individuals and organizations earn the right to lead.”

And my personal favorite:

“Your’re only as good as your ” Plan B.”
