Product Announcement - New MBTI® Team Report Available
written by agammy
On Friday, the MTBI® Team Report was updated. Check out the new product page here. Click here to view a sample report.
I think this new report is a HUGE improvement over the old one- it’s full color and has a more engaging appearance, it has more to offer in terms of subject matter, and it delivers more actionable tips overall, as well as more type-based specific tips. (In other words, an INFP on an INFJ team will get very different recommendations than an INFP on an ESTJ team - I’m not sure if this is something the old report offered or not).
I think with all the updates made, the Team Report is comprehensive enough to use in a full day (or two day) workshop. Even if you wanted to use it on a smaller scale, this is an ideal report to use, especially if you want to help an organization identify their individual and team strengths, minimize blind spots, and improve individual and group efficiency/productivity.
The report offers a summary of the team’s personality type, including strengths and challenges, and details individuals’ contributions to the team, so you can really lay the groundwork for ongoing discussions on team dynamics. This is one area where I think things are noticably improved over the old report, there is much more information on problem solving and conflict management, and there is a whole new section around team communication.
The new MBTI® Team Report comes with a Team Facilitator Report. The Facilitator Report includes the same information as the Team Report, but includes type-customized tips for the facilitator to use in workshop planning. For example, if you had an ISFP team, there would be tips based on the team’s type to help you present the material most effectively (because an ISFP team takes in information much differently than an ENTJ team). It also includes new activity ideas in specific sections, and a fully redesigned Team Type Table. I think the Type Tables is one of the most useful aspects of the whole report, because it provides such a comprehensive snapshot of the Team Dynamics, detailing preferences, attitude pairs, function pairs, energy and perception, judging and orientation, and temperament.
I got a list of report upgrades I wanted to share here. If you have any questions about this new report send me an email (icon@cpp.com), comment here, or contact your Regional Consultant.
