As a follow up to my post on Friday, I wanted to share an article written by CPP Director of Research Rich Thompson that reveals some common misconceptions about the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® instrument and explains how to properly administer the assessment in an organizational setting.  This article, published in the August edition of Talent Management Magazine, is a great resource to have on hand for clients who are interested in developing a fuller understanding of the MBTI assessment, and who want make sure they are using it properly.

As I mentioned on Friday, improper use/interpretation of the MBTI can result in pigeonholing, exclusion, and stereotyping, so it’s great to have a document that helps you ensure the assessment is being administered and interpreted in a way that is in line with the intentions of the publishers. I hope you find this useful.
